What to do or NOT to do in an interview!
Make sure you have the best internet connection you can get.
Camera is on unless you have a very good reason.
Conservative background (bookshelf, blur, office…)
Not the Space station or your laundry on your bed.
If you can’t guarantee quiet, use a headset.
Try not to get interrupted or have heavy noise in the background.
Sit still and do not swivel or move a lot.
Look into the camera. If you have two monitors, make sure you use the one with the camera.
Wear something simple. No need to wear a suit and tie but stay away from something super colorful or extraordinary clothing (costumes as an example).
Take notes. Yes, your computer or phone can take notes but it always looks better if you do.
Be early, 1 minute is enough but be early.
Have a glass of water ready if your voice fails.
Imagine you are explaining things to your grandmother.
Don’t just say YES or NO.
